I love how clean this card is. The scallop, embossed background and twine set the stage for the image and sentiment. They aren't too overpowering and don't clutter up the card allowing the image to be the focus.

Welcome to another edition of the Card Makin' Mamas Challenge!

We hope you enjoyed the last challenge and are ready to use those gorgeous papers we know you've been keeping!

For this challenge we are looking for layers upon layers! No CAS for this round...

Not sure what a layer is? Here's a quick rundown:

Card Base = 1 layer
Ribbon, twine, fiber that goes around the card or another layer = 1 layer
background paper = 1 layer
mat for the background = 1 layer
all embellishments (flowers, buttons, brads, etc.) = 1 layer total

If you turn the card on its back, you could view and count the layers from the side...need a visual?

I am so excited to host a challenge today! I picked one of my favorite themes:

Make It Sparkle!

With all the snow on the ground that sparkles during the day and at night, I just had to pick this theme! I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did here at Card Makin’ Mamas creating all the beautiful cards to share with you.

I love playing with glitter so much if I start, I can’t stop! And after my card is done it is never the only thing that sparkles - my crafty room sparkles, and my clothes sparkle, and my hands and face sparkle, too!

Now grab your pretty, colorful glitter and let’s get you some sparkle! You can use glitter, paper and/or stickers with glitter etc.

The CMM Mojo Mamas created fantastic projects to inspire you for this challenge!

As you know, our CMM challenge weeks begin on a Friday. Most months there are only 4 Fridays, but some months we are blessed with 5. This year we decided instead of having to extend or shorten a challenge, the design team will enjoy a well earned break and we will NOT have a challenge for any CMM week that begins with a 5th Friday!

January ends on a 5th Friday, so today we have a fun blog hop! Now some of our design teamies are a bit camera shy, but a few of our designers wanted to invite you to grab your favorite drink (and maybe some munchies!) and sit awhile to visit their crafting spaces!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE to see where creative people create...it may be in a corner of the room, out of boxes in their kitchen, their guest room, outdoors...wherever it may be, it is their getaway into a life creative!

We don't have 'Anything Goes' Challenges very often, so when we do I look for projects we wouldn't normally see & that have some kind of 'Wow!' factor. Clean lines, crisp folds and the little details - the seat, the 'lug nuts', the headlights...this is fabulous!
